The Warrior Winches Gladiator Range is our premium 4x4 recovery winch range, engineered for serious off-road enthusiasts, recovery specialists and professionals who demand the best from their equipment. Combining high-performance motors, advanced protection and heavy-duty construction, Gladiator winches are built to deliver the pinnacle in recovery performance when the terrain gets tough.
The Gladiator R-Type 12,500lb 12V electric winch delivers an impressive 12,500lb (5,670kg) of rated line pull from a powerful 5.0kW motor, giving you the recovery capability needed for larger 4x4s, demanding terrain and serious vehicle recoveries. With a durable 10.2mm steel rope, 196:1 planetary gearing and advanced protection throughout, the R-Type is built for recovery situations where strength, reliability and control matter.
12,500lb of serious pulling power. The 5.0kW 12V motor delivers up to 12,500lb (5,670kg) of rated line pull through a 196:1 planetary gearing system. That gives you the muscle required when a standard recovery winch isn't enough, while the 8.5m/min no-load line speed helps get the rope deployed and the recovery underway without unnecessary delay.
Built for demanding 4x4 recoveries. The Gladiator R-Type is engineered to handle the demands of serious off-road recovery. Full metal armour protects the motor and geartrain, while HRC50 full steel gears provide the strength and durability needed for demanding pulls. Stainless steel mounting hardware adds further resistance to corrosion, helping the winch withstand exposure to mud, water and harsh outdoor conditions.
Extend the life of your rope. The patented external braking system moves braking heat away from the winch drum, helping reduce heat build-up during demanding recoveries. By managing braking heat outside the drum, the system helps reduce unnecessary heat exposure to the rope while providing controlled stopping performance when handling heavy loads.
Steel rope built for hard use. The 25m x 10.2mm steel rope provides the durability and strength expected from a serious recovery winch, making it well suited to demanding off-road applications. The heavy-duty roller fairlead helps guide the rope smoothly onto and off the drum, while the robust steel construction is designed to withstand the rigours of regular recovery work.
Protection when conditions get tough. With an IP68 waterproof rating, the Gladiator R-Type is engineered to operate in demanding environments where exposure to water, mud and dust is unavoidable. Thermal overload protection adds another layer of protection during hard pulls, helping safeguard the motor when the winch is working under heavy load.
Stay in control from the best position. The 2-in-1 rechargeable wired and wireless remote gives you the flexibility to operate the winch from inside the vehicle or from up to 15m away. Stepping away from the vehicle can give you a clearer view of the recovery and allow you to manage the winch from a more practical position. The rechargeable design also makes it easy to keep the remote ready between recoveries.
Built for serious recovery hardware. The R-Type combines a 600A Silver Tip contactor, full steel HRC50 gearing, a robust 5.0kW motor and heavy-duty steel rope into a purpose-built 4x4 recovery package. Measuring 558 x 166 x 264mm and weighing 43kg, it delivers substantial pulling capability while maintaining a practical footprint for serious 4x4 installations.
Premium performance. Seven years of confidence. The Gladiator R-Type 12,500lb is built for drivers who push their vehicles further and expect their recovery equipment to perform when conditions are at their worst. From the 12,500lb line pull and external braking system to the IP68 protection and heavy-duty steel rope, every element is engineered around dependable performance when recovery gets serious.
Backed by a 7-year warranty, the Gladiator R-Type gives serious 4x4 enthusiasts, recovery specialists and off-road professionals the pulling power, durability and control needed when the vehicle is stuck, the terrain is severe and a standard recovery winch isn't enough.
